Personal and Elegant:  monogrammed or cyphered stationery is the perfect way to make a perfect impression.  To clear up any confusion … a monogram is a combination of letters overlapping to form a single figure; a group of letters which are not joined in this way is strictly called a cypher.

If you are placing a commission or order, then please ensure you include the following: 

 

1. Initials and any other motifs.

2. Layout  -  each combination of letters is different, so please describe in your own words any ideas you might have. I will email you a proof before printing so we can change things around until you are satisfied.  NB.  If you are ordering a monogram on a budget then you can make a saving at this point by playing around with the letters yourself & creating a figure which just needs tweaking & scribing to give the final monogram.

If you are looking for a cypher and would like to use one of the MS fonts, then there is no charge for the design work involved in simple layouts.

To create a monogram it is usually necessary to modify the size, shape or orientation of letters to give a pleasing figure.  Some customers also require a simple motif to be included in the design eg a heart for a wedding monogram or a logo for a professional monogram.  For this reason monograms nearly always need to be formed by hand and then scanned in.  Cyphers can also be handscribed and scanned if you prefer. Prices for this work will depend on the ideas you have and the complexity of the design, but start from as low as £10.  Your monogram or cypher will then be stored for repeat orders at no further cost.
